SQUAD UPDATES

Over the past two weeks, I and other SDNA Squad coaches have been fortunate to have Sue Hawkins’s come and “Coach the Coach” all in the spirit of growth and continual learning.

As coaches we are always looking for ways to improve, we would like to thank Peta and the SDNA Committee for engaging one of the most qualified people in our sport to share her knowledge, help, advice, and mentor, so we all can benefit, as a coaching panel and share our knowledge with our players. Sue’s direction and insightful comments have inspired us to become and be better coaches. This amazing opportunity is only going to enhance the talent pool of coaches and players representing SDNA

SDNA biggest tournament so far with over 100 teams that entered. 

 

SDNA was lucky enough to have amazing sunny winter day and our amazing SDNA squad teams did amazing playing at home.

SDNA are so thankful for all our SDNA volunteers that made this day possible.

The Results of the SDNA Tournament are below: 

​

• 15 Open - 2W, 5L SDNA finished 5th. 

• U15 Gold- 3W, 3L SDNA finished 6th 

• U15 Green- 1W, 4L finished 6th

• U13 Open – 7W,1D

       Premiers won 9-6 against DCNC

• U13 Gold-  4W, 2L 4D finished 3rd 

• U13 Green -4W, 3L, 4D – finished 4th

• U11 Gold 1W, 4L – finished 6th 

• U11 Green 4W, 2L – finished  2nd

FRANKSTON TOURNAMENT AND WHAT A DAY IT WAS! 

 

SDNA entered all our 8 teams into the Frankston Tournament.

 

SDNA U13 Open and SDNA U13 Reserve Green won the premierships.

 

For SDNA to say that our committee and coaches are proud is an understatement. All our players played their hearts out, played as a team, pushed, persisted and kept fighting.

• 15 Open -1W, 2L finished 2nd 

• U15 Gold -4W, 1L Runners Up  

• U15 Green -1W 2 L 1D finished 4th 

• U13 Open – 4W – Premiers won against FDNA

• U13 Gold- 1W, 3L – finished 4th 

• U13 Green -4W, 1L – Premiers won against MMNC

• U11 Gold -4W, 1L – finished 1st 

• U11 Green-2W, 2 L – finished  2nd

SUPER proud coach today, this united group of superstars just steps up to every challenge and continues to make me proud. Today we finally got to take on the best of the associations in the U13 Open grade and validate my belief in them, 9 games undefeated, winning the Open premiership by 1 goal against Casey 1s. Each and every one of them pushed themselves, gave it their all, and played their part in this awesome result, I'm soo excited to watch these stars finish the season out at Jells and build on today for the next few tournaments. Sleep well my champs, you deserve it.

Thank you to the Inspire Group for running a netball skill development session for our squad players on Friday night. 

This was a great opportunity for our SDNA squad players to develop some extra skills with some amazing, experienced coaches.
